Welcome to the website for the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) US 301 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. This study is evaluating the widening of US 301 from just south of County Road (CR) 470 East to State Road (SR) 44, a distance of approximately 7.8 miles in Sumter County. This includes evaluating the need to create a truck route around the City of Coleman to lessen the movement of heavy truck traffic through that community. All viable alternatives and alignments will be considered.
The PAG April 5th, 2016, meeting materials have been added to the Documents & Publications page.
The project limits extend from just south of CR-470 East to SR 44 in Sumter County
