Welcome

Welcome to the website for the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) US 301 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. This study is evaluating the widening of US 301 from County Road (CR) 470 East to State Road (SR) 44, a distance of approximately 7.8 miles in Sumter County. This includes evaluating the need to realign a portion of US 301 south of the City of Coleman to lessen the movement of heavy truck traffic through the community. All viable alternatives and alignments will be considered.

The second Public Alternatives Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. More information about this meeting is located on the Public Notices page.
