Welcome to the website for the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) US 301 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. This study is evaluating the widening of US 301 from County Road (CR) 470 East to State Road (SR) 44, a distance of approximately 7.8 miles in Sumter County. This includes evaluating the need to create a truck route around the City of Coleman to lessen the movement of heavy truck traffic through that community. All viable alternatives and alignments will be considered.
